《极度恐慌3》是一部恐怖类型的第一人射击游戏，拥有紧张刺激的战斗、引人入胜的故事情节和充满乐趣的合作游戏模式。
Alma在3代中重返《F.E.A.R.》的世界。但是这次她的儿子Point Man和Paxton Fettel将引入不同的合作模式，两人截然不同的能力也让使用不同角色进行游戏的玩家能够得到不同的游戏体验。玩家们可以在单人游戏模式和合作模式中扮演Point Man和他的弟弟Paxton Fettel。熟悉前作的人都知道，Point Man是一名超级战士，而Paxton Fettel则可以进行心灵控制。
